You Melt My Heart Treat Bags

December 13, 2013 by Rebecca Wagner 2 Comments

Featured in the January/February 2013 issue of CuttingEdge Magazinezigchri211I love the two techniques that I recently learned how to do on my electronic die cutter for these treat bags. I can’t decide if I like the faux letterpress or embossing the best. Guess I will just have to say it is a tie!

Supplies:
Cut Files: (mittens -Seasoned Winter) Lettering Delights; Stamp: (You Melt My Heart Itty Bitty) Unity Stamp Co.; Embellishment: (Blue Berry) Trendy Twine, (small brown bags) Annie’s Paper Boutique; Tools: Boss Kut Gazelle, Make the Cut software

Instructions:
Using your embossing mat and the Letterpress and embossing techniques, cut out the mittens. Stamp your bags with your sentiment. Fill the bags with candy. Add the die cuts to your bags after they are filled with candy. Use twine to keep bags closed. Give to your favorite sweetheart.

Love these, Becki. Just had to share them too. The blue mittens are adorable with our small kraft bags. Thanks for re-sharing 🙂

These are Crimson Luxe top tabs in two versions: one with reinforced holes, one without.

The goal here is simple:
How well do they hold up when you pop them in, move them around, and reposition dividers as needed?

Early takeaway?
These aren’t meant to be shuffled around constantly like a disc planner. This is more of a place-them-with-intention, then let them live there situation.

I’m testing both versions to see what actually holds up in real use, not just what looks good in photos.
More notes once I’ve abused them a little more. 😏

No promises yet, but I’m cautiously optimistic and slightly smug about it. 💅📒✨
