Coneflowers with Butterfly

September 27, 2012 by Rebecca Wagner 4 Comments

Let’s just pretend I didn’t get two projects out in one day.  Pretend with me again that this is really Friday.  I don’t want to spoil all of you with two cards but I needed to get this up so I could enter it in the Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi challenge before it was too late.I have been wanting to color this coneflower digi for a long time.  It just reminds me of a special friend who always uses these pretty flowers for her avatar where ever she may be online.  If she would tell me when her birthday is, I could send it to her.  *nudgenudgewinkwink*

This is also going to be entered in The Sweet Stop Sketch challenge.  I finally got around to making a card for both of these challenges.  I feel so accomplished!  I love entering both of these so much.  Sweet ‘n Sassy is one of my favorite places to get digi stamps.  It’s just not something I get the time to do a lot of.  Coloring with me takes a long time.  Seems I am afraid to mess up my pretty digis.  I have also entered this is to the Spectrum Noir monthly challenge.

Hope you enjoyed the two posts today.  But don’t get used to it. ;P

Supplies:
Coneflowers and Butterfly by Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps
Simply Autumn stack by Recollections
Spectrum Noir markers:  (flowers- PP4, PP5, PP6 & EB1, EB2 & DG1, DG2, DG3), (butterfly – GB3, GB5, GB8, OR1)
Lone Humorous font

Becki, you did a lovely job coloring this image! I like that you turned the sketch sideways, too.
I’m glad you joined in this week’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge!

Good news: when everything’s written down, at least the chaos is organized.

Pay it. Check it off. Pretend you’re thriving.

Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reaso Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reason…

They’re narrow.

And I get it.
Personal is the perfect middle ground. Bigger than Pocket, fits in your purse, but way more portable than A5.

But the width?
That’s always been the complaint.

Lately I’ve been seeing people try to squeeze Personal Wide into standard Personal binders… and then wonder why the pages stick out.

So instead of making it wider… I went the other direction.

Foldouts.

For 2026, I reworked the layout to give you more planning space without changing the footprint.

Month on one page
Straight into your weekly
Dashboard space (because you know I had to keep that)
And when it’s folded?
Standard Personal Size. Fits your binder like it should.

Now I need your opinion before I finalize this…

What works better in vertical boxes?

Since the Coach notebooks are sold out, I grabbed this leather cover on Amazon to test the fit.
Good news: it fits beautifully (and it’s roomy enough for tabs).

Bad news?
I got excited and didn’t read the whole listing.

No snap.
No elastic.
Just vibes.

Luckily I’ve got elastic on hand… but consider this your reminder from someone who learned the hard way:

Read the full listing, friends.

Sometimes the best combinations aren’t planned… they just happen.

The Aquarelle Sky cover paired with Candy Rush tabs turned out to be one of those moments. The colors line up so perfectly, it looks like they were made for each other.

Just a little unexpected color magic.
