Ahhh, Life is Good

July 3, 2011 by Rebecca Wagner Leave a Comment

I am just making a quick post to welcome and thank all the new followers here and on my Facebook page. I really appreciate you guys coming and checking out my projects and I cherish your comments. It makes me happy to see that you guys came and enjoyed.

I still can’t believe I have over 100 followers! Thank you!  But that wasn’t the only good thing that happened yesterday.  My supervisor at work called me to graciously offer me another, better position.   One I think I will really enjoy.  No more answering phones and having to know the entire store.  See, I am a Multi-Channel Sales Associate.  Which is a fancy way of saying Jack of all Departments.  I was sort of like a personal shopper who also happened to answer the phones too.  I started to dread going to work and picking up the phone.  I don’t mind dealing face to face with customers but it seems that because they can’t see you, you are not a real person so they can yell and use vulgarities.   Not every customer is like that but usually when someone calls the store they have a problem already.  As a MCSA, you are a little bit of everything and those all-store certifications are killer.  Trust me.

I am now going to work in the Mobile department.  I talked with my husband about the pros and cons of the move.  I like cell phones and raises, so why not?  Especially my smartphone.  After speaking with my supervisor and the manager in that department, I felt so much better about moving.  Our store manager even came to talk to me and he praised me so highly I was blushing.  It was his idea, he thinks I could do really well in Mobile.  Other than my husband, I normally don’t get compliments.

The best part is there are monthly bonuses if you make your goal, I get a raise and I don’t have to work any more hours!  They know I home school and really don’t want to work a lot. Plus, my husband has his own business, so guess who is the secretary?  Yep, me.

I tell you they are one of the most accommodating businesses on the planet.  They work around my kids school and husband’s schedule, which is fantastic!  Well, the employee discount is pretty fantastic too!  Especially for a girl like me who has an technology habit.  It might not be the most glamorous job but it is a little part-time thing to get me out of the house and make a little money.  It also keeps me in the know,  I am a technogeek after all.  Sometimes that is a bad thing as I am enabled way too much.  Want to take a guess which guy on the block has the biggest TV?  LOL

By the way, I am waiting to hear back from some people on my next giveaway.  It should be soon and the rules will be a little different this time.  ^__^   I am spending some time with my family this extended holiday weekend but should have some new projects up next week.  I also want to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July.  Remember……wear sunscreen!

Some days the bar is high. Some days the bar is si Some days the bar is high.
Some days the bar is simply… still here.

And that’s something.

Meet the Still Here Notepad.
A gentle reset for the days that hurt, when the smallest wins still count.

Because sometimes the most important thing you do all day…
is keep going.

If you have a FFC binder already, we now will have refills for you too!

Foil lovers... we heard you. Since our foil equi Foil lovers... we heard you.

Since our foil equipment went down, the messages and emails have not stopped. We know how much you love the look and honestly we love it too.

Replacing commercial foil equipment runs into the tens of thousands of dollars and, like a lot of small businesses right now, that's just not realistic.

After months of testing with our existing setup, we think we found a way to bring foil back.

It's not mass factory perfect. Occasionally there may be a tiny spot where the foil doesn't pull 100%. Nothing obvious, nothing we wouldn't personally use, and nothing that doesn't meet our standards will ship.

But overall? We think it looks pretty gorgeous.

Before we officially bring foil back…

Would you still want it knowing it's handcrafted and not machine perfect?

Tell me honestly in the comments. Your feedback will decide this one.

Good news: when everything’s written down, at least the chaos is organized.

Pay it. Check it off. Pretend you’re thriving.

Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reaso Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reason…

They’re narrow.

And I get it.
Personal is the perfect middle ground. Bigger than Pocket, fits in your purse, but way more portable than A5.

But the width?
That’s always been the complaint.

Lately I’ve been seeing people try to squeeze Personal Wide into standard Personal binders… and then wonder why the pages stick out.

So instead of making it wider… I went the other direction.

Foldouts.

For 2026, I reworked the layout to give you more planning space without changing the footprint.

Month on one page
Straight into your weekly
Dashboard space (because you know I had to keep that)
And when it’s folded?
Standard Personal Size. Fits your binder like it should.

Now I need your opinion before I finalize this…
