Easter Egg Card

March 26, 2012 by Rebecca Wagner 7 Comments

Can you tell I love this little Easter chick?!?  She is the cutest little chickie on the block and I just won’t stop adding her to my Boss Kut Design Team projects for Easter.  I bet you all just can’t wait for this holiday to be over so I move on to other awesome Boss Kut files.  hehehe  I got this idea from Jeannie over at Nonna Scraps.  She showed us her wonderful creation on the Make the Cut forum.  Jeannie made a hanging egg decoration but I thought it would also make a great card.

You need to do a couple of copy and pasting with a little welding to get this shaped card.  I took Boss Kut’s Egg Blank file and duplicated it so I had two.  Move them as close together as possible then weld.  Viola!  You now have a egg card!

You basically do the same thing for the window.  Find yourself any shape you like (I used a speech bubble with the tail cut off), place it on the front of the card and join.  Perfect window to see your little chickie.

Add your chickie on the inside, making sure you can see her through the front.  Add the perfect My Thoughts Exactly Easter Greetings sentiment and you are good as gold.  OK, you don’t have to use My Thoughts Exactly stamps but I will not be held responsible if your card doesn’t come out as cute.  šŸ˜€

Glad you stopped by today to see my Easter inspiration.   Hope you come by again and please don’t forget to leave me some love!!

Thanks, Jeannie! I loved your idea soooo much! I just don’t have a tree and thought my sister would like this as a card.

Of course you can scraplift, it’s was your brilliant idea first. šŸ™‚

Foil lovers... we heard you. Since our foil equi Foil lovers... we heard you.

Since our foil equipment went down, the messages and emails have not stopped. We know how much you love the look and honestly we love it too.

Replacing commercial foil equipment runs into the tens of thousands of dollars and, like a lot of small businesses right now, that's just not realistic.

After months of testing with our existing setup, we think we found a way to bring foil back.

It's not mass factory perfect. Occasionally there may be a tiny spot where the foil doesn't pull 100%. Nothing obvious, nothing we wouldn't personally use, and nothing that doesn't meet our standards will ship.

But overall? We think it looks pretty gorgeous.

Before we officially bring foil back…

Would you still want it knowing it's handcrafted and not machine perfect?

Tell me honestly in the comments. Your feedback will decide this one.

Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reaso Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reason…

They’re narrow.

And I get it.
Personal is the perfect middle ground. Bigger than Pocket, fits in your purse, but way more portable than A5.

But the width?
That’s always been the complaint.

Lately I’ve been seeing people try to squeeze Personal Wide into standard Personal binders… and then wonder why the pages stick out.

So instead of making it wider… I went the other direction.

Foldouts.

For 2026, I reworked the layout to give you more planning space without changing the footprint.

Month on one page
Straight into your weekly
Dashboard space (because you know I had to keep that)
And when it’s folded?
Standard Personal Size. Fits your binder like it should.

Now I need your opinion before I finalize this…
