Zombie Love Blog Hop

June 1, 2012 by Rebecca Wagner 39 Comments

Welcome to the Zombie Love blog hop! Thanks for hopping with us today. If you have arrived from Michelle’s blog Scrapping with my Bug, then you are on the right track. If you would like to start at the beginning, click here to go to Ruthie’s blog. Stay tuned after the jump for details on the awesome giveaway.

As you can see, this hop is all about the Zombie Love. I have to admit, I have never really liked Zombies. Not since my mother went to see Dawn of the Dead at the drive-in and had no choice but to take me along. Let’s just say I held her hands over my eyes the whole time. So when my sister-in-law said I HAD to see this new show called The Walking Dead, I told her nope, absolutely not, no way I was going to watch a bunch of dumb Zombies. Now I sit with baited breath waiting for Netflix to put the next season up on Watch Instantly. o_O If you could wear out the replay button like you could the old VCR tapes, I would have killed our TV by now. Who knew I would end up loving Zombies?

Anyway, here is my project.  A box? No, no, not just any box. It’s a gift. One fit for a Zombie. What says love better than giving someone a gift, right? Especially one that looks like it was already handled by the living dead. I mean, is that Zombie drool on the side or what?!? It could be from my Great Dane, who knows, they both probably have the same mental capacity. o_O

Boy, that Zombie really man-handled that box. You can’t see from the pictures very well but I do believe he left some gross, greasy fingerprints. They can’t tie bows really well either.

Oh my goodness, what does that tag say!?!?! There are brains inside?!? And apparently, they r gud. Let’s open our Zombie gift o’ love. Ugh, the tag was right!

My “love” gift fit for a Zombie is Jell-o. You heard me, J-e-l-l-o! The jiggly stuff. In brain form (gross!), no less. My friend is going to love this. hehehe This is what he gets for asking me if I was some kind of Vampire because I hide out in my craft room all day.

Hehe, brains are gud and watermelon flavored. Who knew? If you have a weak constitution, don’t be present when this is getting cut and served. I almost lost my lunch. Now that all that tom foolery, shenanigans and what not is over, on to the good stuff – the awesome giveaway! Ruthie will be giving one lucky commenter a Your Story Photo, Personal Bookbinding kit!

You might be wondering how to enter? Just leave a comment on each of the blogs in the hop. Ruthie will randomly choose one winner from each blog and then choose an overall winner from that list. So for more chances to win, make sure you comment, comment, comment!

To continue on your way to more Zombie love, the wonderful Yolie is next.

Foil lovers... we heard you. Since our foil equi Foil lovers... we heard you.

Since our foil equipment went down, the messages and emails have not stopped. We know how much you love the look and honestly we love it too.

Replacing commercial foil equipment runs into the tens of thousands of dollars and, like a lot of small businesses right now, that's just not realistic.

After months of testing with our existing setup, we think we found a way to bring foil back.

It's not mass factory perfect. Occasionally there may be a tiny spot where the foil doesn't pull 100%. Nothing obvious, nothing we wouldn't personally use, and nothing that doesn't meet our standards will ship.

But overall? We think it looks pretty gorgeous.

Before we officially bring foil back…

Would you still want it knowing it's handcrafted and not machine perfect?

Tell me honestly in the comments. Your feedback will decide this one.

Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reaso Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reason…

They’re narrow.

And I get it.
Personal is the perfect middle ground. Bigger than Pocket, fits in your purse, but way more portable than A5.

But the width?
That’s always been the complaint.

Lately I’ve been seeing people try to squeeze Personal Wide into standard Personal binders… and then wonder why the pages stick out.

So instead of making it wider… I went the other direction.

Foldouts.

For 2026, I reworked the layout to give you more planning space without changing the footprint.

Month on one page
Straight into your weekly
Dashboard space (because you know I had to keep that)
And when it’s folded?
Standard Personal Size. Fits your binder like it should.

Now I need your opinion before I finalize this…
