My Pretty Coasters

September 10, 2011 by Rebecca Wagner 3 Comments

I am out of town right now but I thought you guys might like to see the set of coasters I made for my mother-in-law and cousin.  My mother-in-law is a pretty easy person to create for so I knew whatever paper or pattern I used she would love.  The only requirement was I better not even think of leaving Ohio without them. The pattern is the Floral Woodcut background by Hero Arts.  I purchased this design from the Silhouette America store and used my Silhouette SD, of course.  Recollections in Jewel tone for the paper.  For some reason, my Silhouette doesn’t like to cut this paper.  I ruined 2 sheets of two different colors before it would cut all the way through.  Sheesh, what a waste.

The next set I made for my cousin.  She didn’t ask for a set, but I can’t go down there empty handed.  I used the Play paper pack by American Crafts.  Such lovely card stock.  I have been wanting to try a set that wasn’t die cut and just paper covering the whole tile.  When I saw Kasi’s over at 19eightyexpressions, it spurred me on.  I really like this set.  The papers are gorgeous.

Since I have made these before and explained how I did it, I won’t bore you again.  If you wanted to get the run down, it can find it here.  Thanks for looking and I pray you are having a great weekend.  Happy crafting!

These are beautiful! I loved Kasi’s project too. So busy right now that all this fun stuff is not going to happen.

Love it!! I never thought of having a design cut into the paper! Great idea. I am going to try that now! 🙂

I absolutely love these. I made some Christmas ones last year using stamps, but these are just great!
