Thanks for stopping by today to see my latest project! I have for your viewing pleasure a beautiful monogrammed tile I made for my mother-in-law. Very simple and inexpensive. Definitely jazzes up a room.
Since this was my first time making a monogram tile, I tried to keep it real simple with the font. I’m here to tell you swishy swirls are not for noobs like me. Next time I think a more blocky font is on the menu.
I purchased the tile at The Home Depot for around .98 cents and it measures 12×12 in a light beige. They had vinyl squares of Wall Pops
All in all, it came out nice. She really enjoyed her gift. I have already had some requests from family. Wrap a pretty ribbon around these and call it a Christmas present!
If you guys or gals know of a good free monogram font, hit me in the comments. I am open to any design. Also, does anyone know how to split the monogram and put the name in the middle with a slight line on top and bottom? I couldn’t get it to look right to save my life! Thanks and happy crafting!
So very cool! Did you cut it on vinyl and modpodge it? This is a great idea….If you want to thicken a font, you can use inkscape to do that….it’s free and you can hit up cuttingtimes on youtube…Carolyn will give you all the tips:)
I did use vinyl but didn’t ModPodge it. When I do mine I am going to. I use Inkscape once in a while, I will check her out and thanks for the tip!
