Cherries are Sweet!

OK, so my post names are kind of lame.  Sorry.  LOL, I’ll stop apologizing and get to the good stuff. Last week my cousin and her family were here.  Bad thing was, I had to work so we didn’t have much time to make crafts.  Good thing, we did manage to make this lovely card.  Of course, I forgot to take pictures before they left.  Thanks to Melinda for taking the time to snap and send me some.

One of the things I love about most of the SVG companies is their sets are so versatile.  I can mix and match different elements from each and make something unique.  As you see here I used the Breezy Backyard Lever Cards from SVG Cuts with a cherry from Lettering Delights‘ Love is Sweet set.  Simply adorable, don’t you think!?!?

Melinda picked out her colors and used a reddish ink blotted with a paper towel to make her cherry look similar to a Rainier cherry (her favorite).  I used my Gazelle with Make the Cut, the Nantucket stack from DCWV and some Recollections solid cardstock and ribbon.  I really hope her “Secret Sister” who is an avid cook enjoys it!
