Paper Dolls Challenge Week 5 – Stamps!

June 28, 2011 by Rebecca Wagner 4 Comments

Yep, it is that time again for the Paper Dolls weekly challenge. This week you would think would be pretty easy. Well, not for me. I don’t really have any stamps except what I made with my Teresa Collins Stampmaker. Those are mostly sentiment stamps anyway. I just can’t see paying for cute animal stamps or the like when I can use a pen in my Gazelle, Silhouette or print out a digistamp. So, this was one incredibly hard challenge for me.

When I saw this stamp a few months ago at Michaels, I thought it was really cute but again I don’t really use stamps.  Especially large ones like this but I thought to myself, “it’s only a dollar, you might use it someday.”  Well, I guess today is the day!

Speaking of things you buy and don’t use, I found this mini stack from DCWV, Mango Frost in the clearance rack that I used.  Been looking for the perfect project to bring it out. I love the colors with just a hint of glitter.  The base is WorldWin’s Doublemates in Peaches n’ Cream.  I never knew I was partial to orange till my husband painted his mancave that color.  Trust me, if you knew my husband, orange would be the last color you would think he would paint something.  Most would guess University of Kentucky blue and white. ^__^

The sun comes to us from the wonderful Jessica over at SVG Attic.  It is her Just Beachy set.  Can you tell how much I love her files?  I am in the process of a project for the monthly challenge over at her forum.  If you would like to enter or see the entries, go here.  Hope you all can be a part of it.  Thanks for looking and happy crafting!

Nothing ruins a perfectly good month like… bills Nothing ruins a perfectly good month like… bills.

Good news: when everything’s written down, at least the chaos is organized.

Pay it. Check it off. Pretend you’re thriving.

Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reaso Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reason…

They’re narrow.

And I get it.
Personal is the perfect middle ground. Bigger than Pocket, fits in your purse, but way more portable than A5.

But the width?
That’s always been the complaint.

Lately I’ve been seeing people try to squeeze Personal Wide into standard Personal binders… and then wonder why the pages stick out.

So instead of making it wider… I went the other direction.

Foldouts.

For 2026, I reworked the layout to give you more planning space without changing the footprint.

Month on one page
Straight into your weekly
Dashboard space (because you know I had to keep that)
And when it’s folded?
Standard Personal Size. Fits your binder like it should.

Now I need your opinion before I finalize this…

What works better in vertical boxes?

Field research, planner style. Since the Coach no Field research, planner style.

Since the Coach notebooks are sold out, I grabbed this leather cover on Amazon to test the fit.
Good news: it fits beautifully (and it’s roomy enough for tabs).

Bad news?
I got excited and didn’t read the whole listing.

No snap.
No elastic.
Just vibes.

Luckily I’ve got elastic on hand… but consider this your reminder from someone who learned the hard way:

Read the full listing, friends.

Sometimes the best combinations aren’t planned… they just happen.

The Aquarelle Sky cover paired with Candy Rush tabs turned out to be one of those moments. The colors line up so perfectly, it looks like they were made for each other.

Just a little unexpected color magic.
