Fang-tastic Blog Hop – Day 2

Sorry it took so long to get my post up today for the second day of the wonderful Fang-tastic Blog Hop.  I have had a busy week and was sort of in a rush today and didn’t get my project done till now.  I really wanted to show you guys this idea that has been rolling around in my head ever since I saw Bee’s collection.

As I look through the pictures, I realize I didn’t add any embellishments.  What in the world is wrong with me?!?  Never mind, forget I asked.  I am afraid of the answers I will get.

As usual, I used Make the Cut for the base to make a shaped card.  The cauldron is a file that I made to go with Bee’s.  When I saw her witch legs, I knew a cauldron had to be made.  I will post the file at the end for anyone who would like it.

Aren’t those legs adorable?  Although, I kind of messed them up by using Stickles in black to make the dots.  I should have just used the overlay that Bee made.  It would have looked so much better.

I also really wanted this tag on the front but I didn’t make my card big enough to fit.  It looks OK inside too.  The tag I had laying around and it needed some Trendy Twine and Alyssa’s stamps.  I used both of the new Halloween sets.  She didn’t have the word “brew” so I used Boo and Crew with the masking technique.  That’s why her sets are awesome, everything is separate so you can make want you need.

Here’s a close up.  Sorry about the fuzziness of the pictures.  Normally my camera doesn’t do that.  Must have been all the coffee I drank this morning.  o_O  Who knows.

You still have time to enter the giveaway on my blog.  I will be drawing a winner on Tuesday, October 11th.  To enter, please follow the directions on Day 1’s post which can be found here.  Only comments made on “DAY 1” will be entered into the giveaway.

Here is the line-up again if you didn’t hop the first day or want to go through a second time:

Alyssa @ My Thoughts Exactly – the start
Becki @ The Happy Card Encouragment Factory – that’s me!
Bee @ Dare 2 Bee Creative – your next stop
BeeLinda @ Bee’s Hive O’ Drama

Jennifer @ Our Change of Art
Jessica @ Crafty Rocket Science
Kim @ Kimberly’s Crafty Spot

These are Crimson Luxe top tabs in two versions: one with reinforced holes, one without.

The goal here is simple:
How well do they hold up when you pop them in, move them around, and reposition dividers as needed?

Early takeaway?
These aren’t meant to be shuffled around constantly like a disc planner. This is more of a place-them-with-intention, then let them live there situation.

I’m testing both versions to see what actually holds up in real use, not just what looks good in photos.
More notes once I’ve abused them a little more. 😏
