Fang-tastic Blog Hop – Day 3

October 9, 2011 by Rebecca Wagner 14 Comments

Hi there and welcome to Day 3 of the Fang-tastic Blog Hop!  There is still time to enter the giveaways, details will be at the end of this post.

Since this is my first hop, I really wanted to try to make something for each day.  It is pretty tiring, I am enjoying it at the same time though.  I had taken pictures last night but they came out kind of dark so I had to wait till today for the sunny shine.  Hope you enjoy!

I call this one “Eye There!”  Get it?!?  Lots and lots of eyes in this tree!  Hehehee, “eye” crack myself up sometimes.  OK, I will stop now.  I must say I love the Bee Witching Collection sooooo much, I can’t stop using it.  When Bee showed me this set I instantly had tons of ideas.  As you can see I used googly eyes for a few spots but on the others I brought out the glow in the dark paint again.  The difference this time is I added Iris’.  Some are blue, some are purple and of course for Halloween, red.

I love this picture.  The two eyes staring down at the little sign.  I looked for a stamp that would say what I wanted but it was not to be found.  I have a mini alphabet that I got at the dollar bin at Michaels.  You can tell I need more practice with stamping.  I’m not that good with it.

I had to find a reason to use Alyssa’s stamps too.  I love the two new Halloween sets (next year Alyssa, your new set should include my clever little saying  ^__^) she has available now.  The sentiment above is from Ghostly Greetings.

I used the Midnight Magic paper stack by Recollections, the solid and pattern except the tree.  That paper is WorldWin DoubleMates in Terracotta.  The cool thing about the paper is it has a different color on each side.  All I had to do was gently rip the top layer off for the knot in the tree.  The lighter color is actually the color on the other side.  Neat, huh?  A simple nail file was used to distress the base paper, Recollections ribbon and black Stickles-like glitter glue, another dollar bin buy.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card, so here is how to enter my giveaway if you haven’t already.  I will be drawing a winner on Tuesday, October 11th.  To enter, please follow the directions on Day 1’s post which can be found here.  Only comments made on “DAY 1” will be entered into the giveaway.

Here is the line-up again if you didn’t hop the first day or want to go through again:

Alyssa @ My Thoughts Exactly – the start
Becki @ The Happy Card Encouragment Factory – that’s me!

Jessica @ Crafty Rocket Science

Becki, you are doing great with your creations for the hop. It CAN be tiring. You are so cute. I think we have the same sense of humor! I totally got your card–cracked me up too! I think it just fine to use an alpha stamp set. I do that–think I even have the same one you used!! Next time try printing from your word processing program and then punch/cut! Looking forward to tomorrow–you can do it!!

Foil lovers... we heard you. Since our foil equi Foil lovers... we heard you.

Since our foil equipment went down, the messages and emails have not stopped. We know how much you love the look and honestly we love it too.

Replacing commercial foil equipment runs into the tens of thousands of dollars and, like a lot of small businesses right now, that's just not realistic.

After months of testing with our existing setup, we think we found a way to bring foil back.

It's not mass factory perfect. Occasionally there may be a tiny spot where the foil doesn't pull 100%. Nothing obvious, nothing we wouldn't personally use, and nothing that doesn't meet our standards will ship.

But overall? We think it looks pretty gorgeous.

Before we officially bring foil back…

Would you still want it knowing it's handcrafted and not machine perfect?

Tell me honestly in the comments. Your feedback will decide this one.

Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reaso Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reason…

They’re narrow.

And I get it.
Personal is the perfect middle ground. Bigger than Pocket, fits in your purse, but way more portable than A5.

But the width?
That’s always been the complaint.

Lately I’ve been seeing people try to squeeze Personal Wide into standard Personal binders… and then wonder why the pages stick out.

So instead of making it wider… I went the other direction.

Foldouts.

For 2026, I reworked the layout to give you more planning space without changing the footprint.

Month on one page
Straight into your weekly
Dashboard space (because you know I had to keep that)
And when it’s folded?
Standard Personal Size. Fits your binder like it should.

Now I need your opinion before I finalize this…
