My Thoughts Exactly Blind Blog Hop

May 1, 2012 by Rebecca Wagner 19 Comments

Welcome to the My Thoughts Exactly Design Team Blind Blog Hop! You’re searching for the newest additions to the MTE team and you found me!! Yep, that’s right. I am a new member of the My Thoughts Exactly Design Team!  WooHoo!  We have another member so don’t forget to keep on hopping to find out who it is!But wait, while you’re here Alyssa asked me to tell everyone a little about myself.  I really hate talking about me and wish I could just point you to The Skinny page to skip this all together but I have to obey the boss. ;P  So here goes:  I am a little older than I want to say home schooling mom of two teenage boys and married 19 years to my best friend.  I have been crafting in different mediums all my life but about a year ago got into paper crafting with the purchase of a electronic die-cutting machine.  Then an online friend suggested I should start a crafting blog to showcase my creations.  So here I am.

I was never really interested in stamping because I could make titles and captions with my cutter.  That was until I saw the most wonderful stamps evar – My Thoughts Exactly!  That is exactly what I said when I first laid eyes on them.  LOL  I could never bring myself to buy stamps for one or two sentiments but with Alyssa’s stamps you get so much value.  I couldn’t get over how many sayings and fun little quotes you can get from her sets.  I was hooked!  And anyone who is a regular reader knows I am not lying.  I swear I use Alyssa’s stamps for every project already.  ^__^  So you can see I am just over the moon excited to be a part of this wonderful team and can’t wait to get started.  Ok, enough gushing let me get to my quick little project then the rest of the hop!

I love fridge magnets.  It is a secret guilty pleasure of mine.  My husband hates anything on the fridge, especially because we have a black gloss fridge and he thinks magnets scratch them up.  Wife tip number 1:  if you love something but husband doesn’t, craft it, gush over it, say how proud  and excited you created such a masterpiece.   Hubby now has no choice but to let you display your hard work.  It works ladies, trust me….

Want to know how to put this together?  All I did was cut out a chipboard piece into little frames, covered them in pretty paper, took a scrap piece of white and stamped some Lovey (the messages are for my hubby ^__^ I’m not even getting into how he slaughtered the French in the first one) words and embellish.  Easy, right?!?

I have to say I simply wuv my widdle homewreckers…ooops, I mean magnets.  I need marriage counseling now but that’s OK, I HAVE MAGNETS!!!   muahahahahaha  (disclaimer:  I do not endorse doing anything that will cause strife between a husband and wife.  Use my above advice with extreme caution!)

Alright, you have seen my project and saw the craziness that goes on here, now to continue on to find the other newest member of the fabulous My Thoughts Exactly Design Team.   The next person on the hop can be found at this link.  Is it the new member or an oldie but goodie?  Click to find out.  Don’t forget to finish the entire hop, you just might be the lucky recipient of a little sumthin, sumthin!

Supplies:
Lovey Puns – Food by My Thoughts Exactly
Mosaic Memories stack by Recollections
Chipboard for frames

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!!

Foil lovers... we heard you. Since our foil equi Foil lovers... we heard you.

Since our foil equipment went down, the messages and emails have not stopped. We know how much you love the look and honestly we love it too.

Replacing commercial foil equipment runs into the tens of thousands of dollars and, like a lot of small businesses right now, that's just not realistic.

After months of testing with our existing setup, we think we found a way to bring foil back.

It's not mass factory perfect. Occasionally there may be a tiny spot where the foil doesn't pull 100%. Nothing obvious, nothing we wouldn't personally use, and nothing that doesn't meet our standards will ship.

But overall? We think it looks pretty gorgeous.

Before we officially bring foil back…

Would you still want it knowing it's handcrafted and not machine perfect?

Tell me honestly in the comments. Your feedback will decide this one.

Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reaso Personal Size planners get a bad rap for one reason…

They’re narrow.

And I get it.
Personal is the perfect middle ground. Bigger than Pocket, fits in your purse, but way more portable than A5.

But the width?
That’s always been the complaint.

Lately I’ve been seeing people try to squeeze Personal Wide into standard Personal binders… and then wonder why the pages stick out.

So instead of making it wider… I went the other direction.

Foldouts.

For 2026, I reworked the layout to give you more planning space without changing the footprint.

Month on one page
Straight into your weekly
Dashboard space (because you know I had to keep that)
And when it’s folded?
Standard Personal Size. Fits your binder like it should.

Now I need your opinion before I finalize this…

What works better in vertical boxes?
